No, I’m not talking about your friends in your quilt guild who help to solve your design or technique problems. And no, I’m not talking about your spouse, children or family either although they sometimes have great advice too (and I don’t mean “buy no fabric anymore”).
What I’m talking about are your furry or feathery quilting buddies or even the ones with scales. The buddy that never questions your choice of color, that doesn’t walk out of the room when you are singing along with the radio, that never tells you that you have enough fabric already and you only should search your stash. But I have to admit that it is also the buddy that messes with your sewing machine, occupies your chair or even your table or sometimes throws up on your precious fat quarters.
My quilting buddy is Felix, an Australian Sheppard Mix, always supportive and ready to help unfolding fabric. And to be honest – he’s the only one who is always welcome in my sewing room.
To see what dogs have to say about their experiences in the studios I highly recommend reading the guest blog post by Roxie on “The Bitchy Stitcher” Blog (at the right side you can see her in action).
This lady sure knows what’s going on.
