I seldom buy quilting books these days. Most of them are no longer interesting to me. But browsing Amazon I discovered “Artful Improv”, a book by Cindy Grisdela. I liked the cover – all these bright and colorful blocks! I ordered the book and I can say it is one of my best purchases of the last year. I will tell you more about the book next time. Today I want to show you my first quilttop that was inspired by Cindy Grisdela’s quilts.
I love the huge spaces for quilting. And as quilting – especially hand quilting – is my favorite part of the whole quilt-making process I am very much looking forward to it. Obviously the top didn’t take long but now I’m searching for a quilting design and that will take some time. If you have any ideas please share in the comments. This quilt is the first in a series depicting the four seasons. As you might have guessed this is spring.
So I’m off to pen and paper again, trying out quilting designs. See you!
