Protect the Earth’s Environment
In 2016 the next Taiwan International Quilt Exhibition will take place in Tainan City from April 30 til May 29 and the organizers would love to receive quilts from all around the world.
The theme of the 2016 contest is ‘Protect the Earth’s Environment’: According to the United Nations Forum on Forests, the global forest deforestation has caused ecosystems degradation, resulting in the increasing threat of greenhouse gas emissions and species extinction at an alarming rate. Human beings have been playing the conflicting roles of invader, destroyer and guardian. Think about how to terminate or change the situation of global forest deterioration. We invite quilting artists to contribute to the global environmental issues, exploring creativity from life and humanity, sowing seed of hope and restoring Earth’s ecology.
